Question about dresses with built in corsets

MrsTelesford10, on May 12, 2010 at 10:42 PM Posted in Planning 0 2

The dress I am buying has a built in corset. When I tried it on I was told to remove my bra and everything held in place just fine with the dress itself. But I'm wondering, are you SUPPOSED to wear the dress with a corset bra/bra even though its built in or do you just wear it as is? Or is it more a matter of personal choice. Wondering if I need to purchase specific undergarments once I go back to make the final payment on my dress. Thanks!

I got bra cups sewn into min and I'll wear my bra... I have no boobs so it makes me look a little bustier on top and makes the dress look better... at first i just had my bra on and then the lady told me to put the bra cups in and I was like "wow, i have boobs!" but if you get bra cups put in that can double as your bra... it's pretty cheap to get them sewn in...

My dress also has an inner-corset and I'm having cups sewn in for "lift". I was going to get a longline bra but they cautioned me that it might add too much bulk to the dress. I'd kinda at least like to have a slimming slip underneath or something but I've not been able to find anything so far.
