Quarantine with so

Sharon, on April 5, 2020 at 3:13 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 24
Anyone that's quarantined with their SO rethinking the whole "til death do us part" thing? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 24/7 is a lot!!! Just kidding! I'm not rethinking anything.

p.s...yes, I know this is serious and a lot of people have had to postpone or cancel their wedding. I'm just trying to bring a little levity to the situation

LOL Yes!!! He has to log on to work 1 1/2 hrs before I do. Some mornings as I'm stumbling over to my computer he's all "blah blah blahblah....." and I'm like "dude. ya gotta give me 5 minutes" lol

Yeah we share an office at home and so it's just a different dynamic that we aren't used to.

Hahahaha this is so honest!! When I call my friends they’re like “all is well!” and I’m like “rly?” and 10 minutes later they’re like “BAH CAN’T LIVE LIKE THIS!”

For my part I have acknowledged that I am not great about keeping the toothpaste in a nice, neat, rolled up tube. It’s not a strength of mine!

My FH and I are both working remote from our couch because our apartment is tiny, and sometimes it's a challenge because we'll both be on calls or trying to focus. But we've also learned how to make it work. And sometimes its nice to just immediately gripe to each other instead of firing up a text lol. Right now we're just ready for quarantine to be over so we can have cooking options other than rock paper scissors over who needs to cook lol

We usually had work and only saw each other for a few hours a day and now its all the time which is a huge change. I find that things he does annoys me and vice versa and that we get annoyed faster now. But we usually forget about it in a few minutes lol. It has been an adjustment for sure but its allowed us to be able to spend some quality time with each other and our families that we normally didn't get to do as much so we are enjoying that time for now. We have also had to find ways for us to get some space from each other from time to time but overall its been pretty good.

Its definitely an adjustment! And I know when life goes back to normal we'll miss having all this time together. Getting some space once in awhile is soooo important.

Yup, I told him if we get through this we can do anything! We’ve kept our regular schedule with work, even though we are both working from home. We Meet up for lunch, which is new, and meet back up in the evening. He goes downstairs and I stay upstairs in office. Just like a regular day lol 😅🤣

Omg! I totally feel you. My fiancé travels a lot for work and so now we are both working from and around each other 24/7. I’ve definitely looked at him crazy a few times & thought to myself, “wow. This is going to be my life, for the rest of my life.” 😂

We're both working so nothing has changed! I guess on our time off from work we are spending more time at home so that's been fun!!

We usually only saw each other in the afternoons most days, so this is really nice. We're That Couple - every day, we're actively telling each other we're glad we're married and stuck in here with the other one.

We *have* had a spat or two, a meltdown or two... but it's usually over pretty quickly.

That said, both of us are furloughed/on catastrophe pay and not working. That's a different kind of stress.

We have lived together for over 5 years but between the stress and the constant time inside it can be a lot.

Awww that's great that you're so open and telling each other how much you love them. I'm sorry you're both furloughed. That's do tough but sounds like you're both in this together and making it work. I hope you can get back to work soon.
