puzzle piece guest book question

Jennifer, on April 26, 2013 at 9:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

So I am wanting to do a puzzle for our guest book. We want to put the puzzle together and frame it to hang on the wall. But then I got to thinking (probably shouldn't do that!) and how do you make sure the guests sign the right piece? I read on one that I am looking at, that they number the back of the pieces to help you put the puzzle together easier. So I guess that would prevent the guests from signing on the wrong side. But does anyone else have any other ideas?

This is the one I am looking at:

Can you take like a bingo dotter or sharpie, and go through and dot the backs of all of them? Or maybe assemble it, and spray paint the back side?

Or what if you have the puzzle together on the table, and let people sign it already assembled?

Either way, create a sign that explains to only write on one side, and make it clear what side that is. And maybe have someone manning the guestbook too, so they can make sure people are following directions.

I would have it already put together on a table and maybe an empty jar. You can have a sign for your guests to take a piece of the puzzle to sign so you and your honey can piece your lives together! Or something cute and corny like that. I'm so lame at coming up with wordings....

The one you have says the back is pre numbered in pencil... So just post a sign saying please sign the side of the puzzle without numbers

That's a awesome idea! I'd paint one side of them so they know its the right side!!

The puzzles are coated in white on one side, so the guests would "know" which side to sign. Also, the 150 is numbered on the back which makes it easy to assemble. No need to paint the piece!
