Hi all!! A WHILE ago I posted about thinking of doing a customized cake topper with pusheen cat. It’s somethkng super cute and fun for my FH and sentimental! Anyways, most of the feed back I got was recommending I DIY as this isn’t common... well thank you stress, anxiety, and mental breakdowns... I attempted to make the pusheens tonight!

I found little tin cats and painted over them.... i am a perfectionist so I notice everything that is wrong with them.... but do you ladies? Is it a DIY fail? Should I restart??

I put them on the wood block of block I’ll attach them too later after it’s stained, but you get the idea! Also I attached the picture of what they looked like before I painted them for reference!!

These are cute! Think about the weight of the block on a cake. You may want to talk to your baker.

If you feel unsure about it make another option. If you have the time you might as well. Make it however many times until you are in love with it.

I think they look really cute...but do talk to your baker about the wood. You may want to see about something lighter or just positioning them like that.

Where did you get the piece of wood? It will be on the cake right?
Ive been trying to figure out a platform for my cake topprrs i didnt like ones i saw on amazon
I like the wood
Wood is now on my list of stuff tp look for

They're really cute! Unless the block is heavier than it looks, it shouldn't be a problem. But it couldn't hurt to show it to your baker in case they want to add a dowel or two in the top tier for support.
