Thank you for posting about your dress. I now know not to buy from them. I will be looking elsewhere for my dress.

Just found this site. Count me in as another disgruntled wedding gown buyer. I got mine custom made from dreamweddings-something on ebay. The dress looked very poorly and shoddily made, material flimsy and nothing like that in their pictures, loose threads and even torn/hanging lace that was unevenly tacked on. It cost me almost $50 to return it today; supposedly the seller will refund me but not til they receive it, and they probably won't pay for the return shipping cost either. BTW, of course these sellers look like they have mostly positive reviews, because after you return something on ebay, you cannot leave a review for the seller anymore.

I got another dress on ebay but used from someone in the USA. She originally bought it from Davids Bridal and it's an Oleg Cassini that looks gorgeous but doesn't fit me too well. Now I'm going to try to get it altered, because the whole process of finding and buying a dress has been such a hassle.

If you order a dress online, I would recommend ordering from a company based in the US, not China. We are located in California and have a good review rating on weddingwire.com.

For anyone wondering whether a website is from China, we have put together a list of over 3000 sites (and counting) that you should stay away from.

Watch the videos as well to help educate yourself.

You can also share your experience if you ever ordered from one of these sites on our list and help others not to get scammed.
