Proposal Boxes

Cedar, on January 7, 2019 at 10:16 AM Posted in Planning 0 17

Where did you all find your bridesmaid proposal boxes? I have 2 maid of honors and 5 bridesmaids and the cheapest cardboard boxes that are cute are like $15 a piece! I don't want to spend that much for a BOX.

I found mine on Etsy. Have you considered making them yourself?

I didn't do a full on bridesmaid box but I purchased customized wine bottle labels on Etsy and placed them on their favorite wines. Look around Etsy and you will find endless options.

I'm making mine myself, but I bought them totes with their initial and robes. I also am putting wine and glass, I found a sticker I'm going to print and place on there.
My sis did this for us

I also made mine myself! I got simple white boxes from amazon. I think they were around $15 for 10 of them. I decorated the inside myself and bought a few cute items that were customized with their names (champagne glass, ring dish, etc.). I wrapped the boxes with a pink bow and put their names on the outside Smiley smile

I went to Dollar Tree and bought coffee cups (one for each of the girls), gold wrapping paper, and some cheesy Valentine's party savors to put with it. At Walmart I bought those treat boxes for cupcakes for like $4 a pack, bought a gold paint marker for $2 to write their initials on the cup. Wrote the proposal message in the box- and boom. I did it all for less than $25! When I looked on Etsy it was almost that price for 2 proposal boxes!!

I didn't even use a box. I put their gift in a gift bag. Served the same purpose and cost way less.

I made my own boxes! It was so much fun, and the girls loved them. And I think it might be more cost effective.

    6 pack boxes: $8.99
    15 pack of coozies $12.99
5 Tie the knot earrings: $12.50
5 Flower combs: $10.00 for all
    Cards: $9.99 for all
4 pack mini wine bottle: $5
    5 Wooden Letters: $5
And I already had the twine, my total for all the boxes for roughly $65. Which seems like a lot, but when you divide it by 5 bridesmaids in the wedding, it comes out to $13 per person, so I gave them a $13 gift. ☺️☺️☺️

I went to Michael's and bought wood jewelry boxes and painted them! Then I put hair ties, a liquor shooter, and nail polish in each one.

I got lucky at marshall's!! I have a MOH and 3 bridesmaids. I got 1 big box for my MOH and 3 of the same color/design for my bridesmaids.

Edit- I spent $9.99 for the big box and like $4.99 or $5.99 for the others

Lol I legit used cardboard cake boxes, like bakery boxes, from Michael's because I couldn't find ones big enough. And they were nice and cheap Smiley smile they get thrown out so I didn't see the point in spending good money on them either. Hobby Lobby might have some nice decorative boxes for a few bucks each if you haven't already looked there.

Is your vision to use an actual box, or would you be ok with a tote, basket or bin? You could probably find something at dollar general and print a sign or something. Also go on Etsy and search proposal box. They have personalized gift boxes for 3.15 each

I went to Michaels and got $2 photo boxes, added some shredded decorative paper and filled it with stuff I bought separately.

I got these boxes from Michael's! I had a coupon so they were only $3.59 each. https://www.michaels.com/wooden-box-by-artminds/10357776.html?cgid=809188677

They were unfinished, but I attempted to get crafty and did a whitewash on them!
