Proposal boxes !! When ?? And how ?

I’m mailing and handing out my proposal boxes tomorrow and I have about 8 months left before my big day. As for everything else I’m sending save the dates in a week or two from today, and sending actual invitations about 3-4 months before the wedding. And asking for final rsvps 4-5 weeks before the wedding.

I was pretty excited and sent mine out about 2 months after I got engaged (got engaged in May last year). At that time we didn’t have a venue either. I wasn’t aware of any timeline for bride proposals just figured I would give them as much time as possible. We did have a date picked and prayed that we could get a venue for that specific date (and we did). Congratulations!

I wouldn't ask your bridal party until you at least have your venue. You don't have a date until you have a venue because you never know what will happen. You want to make sure they are able to make the wedding before agreeing to be in it. Also, if you look through this forum, you can see tons of posts about women who asked people way too early and had a lot of drama. At the earliest, you should ask a year out.

I had my date set 5 days after I was engaged. [I had my photographer booked.]
I asked my MOH to be in my wedding 2 weeks after I got engaged.
I asked my bridesmaids 3 weeks later, one year exactly from our date.We booked our venue the next week.

Also, my bridal party has been in my life for 18 years, 11 years, 11 years, and 10 years. So I had zero reservations about asking them that far in advance.
