Hello!

I'm playing a slideshow at the wedding. We're having the wedding at a hotel but it's $500 to rent a project and screen. It seems pretty pricey to me..at that price, we can probably BUY a projector. Does anyone have recs on local places that are affordable and rent projectors and screens?

A good projector is >$3k in my opinion.

Can you talk to your DJ? A local college library might be helpful (my school rents this equipment, but you HAVE to be a student). Other various rental places may have it - someone who rents chairs and things.

Our DJ is providing ours. Its included in our package but I think a la carte they charge a rental fee of $100-$150. Check with your DJ first

Spoke to my DJ who doesn't have it, but he said we could rent two 42 inch tv's for $500, so I guess that is pretty standard...

Most DJs in my area either carry a projector or tvs but an extra 500 for them seems high to me! We offer a projector and screen an only charge an additional 200.00

I usually rent from these guys here:

3000 lumens project for around $29 /day. You can rent laptops, screens and dual setups for well under $100. Make sure to email tho and ask for the best deal... their site doesn't reflect some of the discounted pricing I've been able to get.
