Progress: Invitations in the mail!

Yay so exciting!!

So exciting! We are expected to close July 12th, right behind you! I feel like when we sent out invites it didn't feel more real to me either lol I honestly feel like nothing makes it feel "real" to me. I'm super excited for the day to get here but it feels like it just still never really hit me. We are 24 days out and I have a few more people who still need to RSVP (our RSVP date is Saturday) and then I can start working on the seating chart and escort cards. Besides that, I need to confirm all the details with our venue and our vendors, make a few more final payments in the coming weeks, get our marriage license, and buy a few last minute things.

Sending out invites was SO exciting for me, but stressful until I started getting RSVPs because I was panicked no one received them haha!

I'm so worried people won't get them! I don't even know if all of FH's family got their save the dates because he doesn't talk to them much. Plus they're all from Canada so that makes me nervous with postage and everything.

Yeah, I feel like almost everything I have left is just paying for stuff so I'm dreading it lol. We weren't planning on purchasing a house so soon but the perfect property came up. Now we are super stretched haha.

Yeah I had a total irrational fear of that too haha! I had our invites weighed 3 times before sending them (we needed $0.70 stamps) and all that. We had a calligraphist do our guest addresses & return addresses on the RSVPs and I panicked last minute since the guest names and our entire address was in cursive. So far, only 1 bridesmaid didn't receive her invite (I think it's her apartment complex, she has problems with mail a lot) so I'm sending another. But we still have 12 days to our RSVP and have 97 yes, 44 no, and waiting on 91 responses!

Yes girl I totally feel you! We were planning on waiting until after the wedding to avoid being stressed about money but the perfect house came up and we knew if we didn't act fast it would be gone so we had to pull the trigger. It will work out, it's just stressful for the next few weeks for sure!

Yayyy! We just sent our invitations out this week as well - so very exciting and makes it feel a little closer for us August brides And a new home too for you all, congrats on everything; so very exciting!!

Congratulations on your closing!! I found the whole buying a house experience so stressful, but when closing day came and they handed us our keys it was all worth it!
We haven’t even picked our invitations yet, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be stressed and anxious when I send them out until I start getting responses back. Good luck with your venue and hope everything comes together for you!

My invites went into the mail today too! I also agree that it didn’t really make it feel any more “real,” but I also got my hair trial today and that really did!

We just sent out our invites too and I am enjoying seeing people RSVP on our site. It did feel a bit more real...we have 78 days left and will close on our home on 7/9! Such big changes this year for all of us! Congrats!!
