Programs with a word search - where to put pencils?

Lori, on August 18, 2019 at 12:10 PM Posted in Planning 1 7
We are having a morning wedding with brunch reception. I am going to design programs similar to below, and on the back will be a word search (to tie in with breakfast theme - think crossword puzzle in Sunday paper). I ordered personalized golf pencils which will also be a favor (useful!). Pencil is pictured below.

A) I cant decide if I want to have these programs set at every place setting or if I have a greeter hand them out? Or they could be at the welcome table where people get their escort card.

B) and where to put the cute pencils? If I set a program at each place setting (i.e. on top of the napkin), do I set one pencil at each place setting? Attach pencil to program with a gold or ivory binder clip? (Or even more labor intensive, punch a hole in the corner of program and affix the pencil with a string or ribbon?). OR go the easy route and have a small votive holder that holds 8 pencils per table ??

I would put them at each place setting, but if you don’t care to have a cup of pencils in the center of the table, that would work just as well.

Thank you, Caytlyn! I thought I could use something cute to hold the pencils, like a rose gold votive holder or an ivory colored small coffee cup. Incorporate it into the centerpiece (which will be white lantern, eucalyptus with ivory and blush roses, and rose gold mercury votive holders)

Those programs are amazing!!!! I’d put a pencil at each place setting or out then in a cute jar. I wouldn’t waste time affixing them to the program, not everyone will do the word search and the program is just to perfect to punch a hole in!

Andrea, these aren’t my programs. I am going to design mine based on this template (there are many similar things on Pinterest). I do some graphic design for my job so I know I will have fun with these. 😉 Ok I may just set a pencil at each place setting. So people know it’s their favor. We aren’t doing any fancy favors, just the pencils and then we got personalized paper treat bags and people can take a donut with them (we are having a donut cake).

Gotcha! The whole idea is adorable and I love the donuts. The programs are an item I haven’t even thought of yet but now I will definitely look on pintrist for inspiration. Thanks! I’m sure wherever you put the pencils they will be well received by your guests, SO cute!

Thanks everyone!! Wanted to share the program I designed. There were a few more design changes after this draft but it gives you a really good idea. 💙
