We aren’t doing any of those.
I figure we can put all the info on the wedding website ahead of time and there will be people serving the food that can answer any of their questions.

We're doing programs, but not menus. The dinner is preselected on the RSVP, so the menu wouldn't really be useful. But, the programs give us a chance to explain the more unique aspects of the ceremony we choose to go with, a chance to introduce our bridal party and give them some shoutouts, and a chance to gently remind people to keep their phones/cameras out of the aisle so their phones don't show up in our pictures (it's one of my biggest pet peeves and worries so I want a place to mention it).

We're planning to make our programs on zazzle.com, and, since we're serving buffet style, we're just going to have little chalkboard style labels on each dish for the meal.


There are a lot of options for programs. You can even make them yourself on cardstock at home, if you have a printer.

I think whatever you chose should be based on your wedding style. Would it look like something is missing if you didn't have the programs? If your wedding is romantic and simple it might not be missed. But if it's sophisticated and elegant I think programs would be a must...but that's just my unprofessional opinion.

Because of things being done in the ceremony I believe we'd have to include programs. But as for menus we don't need them because we're doing stations and the they aren't needed. A large menu would do however, we still ordered them :-)

Thank you so much for your help! I think we are going to go with programs, just because of how formal the event is and because there will be certain aspects in the ceremony. I also think I'm going to do a large menu because we are doing buffet and not plated.

Sorry but I just think they are just future landfill. Never liked getting them at a wedding.
