Are any of you guys doing wedding programs? I’m leaning on the fence of if we should do that extra cost Are you doing individual printed menus that will be on the table or a giant menu printed on a board?

We're doing programs, but not menus. The dinner is preselected on the RSVP, so the menu wouldn't really be useful. But, the programs give us a chance to explain the more unique aspects of the ceremony we choose to go with, a chance to introduce our bridal party and give them some shoutouts, and a chance to gently remind people to keep their phones/cameras out of the aisle so their phones don't show up in our pictures (it's one of my biggest pet peeves and worries so I want a place to mention it).
I think whatever you chose should be based on your wedding style. Would it look like something is missing if you didn't have the programs? If your wedding is romantic and simple it might not be missed. But if it's sophisticated and elegant I think programs would be a must...but that's just my unprofessional opinion.
Because of things being done in the ceremony I believe we'd have to include programs. But as for menus we don't need them because we're doing stations and the they aren't needed. A large menu would do however, we still ordered them :-)
Thank you so much for your help! I think we are going to go with programs, just because of how formal the event is and because there will be certain aspects in the ceremony. I also think I'm going to do a large menu because we are doing buffet and not plated.
Thank you so much for your help. I think we are going to do programs because we have certain aspects that will be in the ceremony that might need to be explain and I totally agree about the phone and camera thing, I can't stand that. We are going to do a large menu since we are doing a buffet dinner.
