PROBIOTICS- thought i'd share

Natalie, on January 28, 2014 at 8:10 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 8

I'm big into fitness & I eat 100% clean. Lately, I've seen a lot of forums about people who need to lose weight, or people who are trying, but its not working. Here's my advice, for those who truly are trying... (strictly eating clean, drinking half their body weight in water, & being more active) I use My Fitness Pal and in a forum there, I saw a lot of people talking about probiotics, so I did some major research. A probiotic is a microorganism thats introduced into your body to fight off excess BAD bacteria and help the GOOD bacteria flourish, intern having many great health benefits. You can find probiotics in some yogurts and cheeses, or in a $5 bottle in the supplement section of walmart. Now, just because its in a bottle, don't begin to preach. I've never tried a diet pill and I wouldn't encourage any one else too either. This isn't for dieting, but it cleanses out that extra few pounds of fat that clings to your colon without giving you diarrhea like a laxative. *tbc

Basically, when you start eating clean and drinking the correct amount of water, you body reacts in a weird way; you bloat. Why? Because all of the new gases in your system that aren't normally present. Probiotics is said to help rid you of that "bloat" and in most cases, helps you drop a few pounds by warding off that excess bad bacteria and finally allowing absorption and secretion of things that initially weren't able to be absorbed or secreted. I'm in no way affiliated with this product, obviously, or I'd be giving you a specific brand of the many there are to chose from. I'm just saying that after doing my research, I saw it in Walmart and decided to give it a try. Why not? It's good for your overall health. And so far, my stomach has looked truly amazing and I don't get the whole prego belly that I'm used to getting after every meal. I'm not here to argue about health with anyone, just trying to share something that I think is awesome. Do your own research on it. Good Luck.

Probiotics really do great things to our gut. It is not like dieatry supplements or juices out there. Rather, it is more for our gut health and is the best partner of healthy lifestyle.

So for the past year I've been using a red gummy probiotic (I hate pills and have an eating disorder so I can't doe the liquid stuff)...at first I thought they were adding to my weight loss. I took them every morning. After the affects wore off and my body got all the bad stuff out of my system, I still used them.

Now I stopped using them for a month because I couldn't find my brand anywhere, no one was restocking. I actually lost more weight in that time period than I did when I was using probiotic.

So what I have found out from my own body, is a few days probiotic is great, but don't use it everyday. Use it to cleanse your system and once ti's cleansed, wait until you feel you need a cleanse again. If you eat healthy and don't eat so many processed and /or greasy foods, you won't need to cleanse as often.

It really helps get rid of that nasty feeling you have the next day after eating a whole pizza to yourself. You literally feel cleansed. But afterwards the benefit stops until you need it again.

    Good luck.

    Natalie,

    You are correct.

It helps you feel better around the stomach and you don't retain that 1-2 lbs over the next few days from eating that one thing you know you didn't need but you really wanted. Instead your gut spells it out of your system.

    Thank you for sharing.

Hey ladies! I've been taking Florajen Probiotics for about year now and it's been so amazing! I tried a few others before and it messed my system up so badly. With only a few weeks left until the big day (WOO HOO!) I need to make sure my body is prepped haha. The Florajen Probiotics have made a huge difference in my overall health too. I know you guys mentioned it for curbing that extra weight but mine has really been helpful with traveling and my immune system too. I really recommend it and it's super easy to buy at your Walgreens!
