Now that the craziness has settled and I’m back to work, I’ll share about our wedding! We got married on September 21 in Indiana, PA. Now that the craziness has settled and I’m back to work, I’ll share about our wedding! We got married on September 21 in Indiana, PA. The weather ended up being like summer weather rather than September weather so that was a little rough for our outdoor ceremony and pictures but we made the best of it! No rain was my wish and that came true! We did a short and sweet ceremony. We wrote our own vows and did a wine & love letter ceremony. Hubby even cried when he saw me!

I have no complaints on our day!! Everything went so smooth, perfect, and stress free.

My parents helped pay for a lot of the wedding, my husbands family paid for alcohol, flowers, and rehearsal dinner, and we paid for several things as well. I’m not even sure what all we spent since we had many people paying for different things, but probably between 16,000-18,000. We were engaged for over 2 years and it helped us save all the money that we needed to pay for our parts!

My advice is to soak up every minute of planning and getting ready! It all goes so fast. And enjoy your honeymoon after! We did a cruise so no phones and it was the best thing ever to just spend a week with my husband with no distractions at all!

If anyone has any questions please ask!! If I could have a dream job I think it’d be in the wedding industry!

    Yeah I think when I picked them up at Walmart they seemed to be pretty thick. Our wedding is in December, but we live in Florida so it could be 50, it could be 80. We will be getting ready at a house though so won't be out and about. Did you get hot inside? I don't want anyone to be dying of a heat stroke trying to get their hair curled. LOL

    Yeah I tried it on in white and didn’t really like it. Once she put the other color under the lace I was sold instantly!

    Congratulations! Your pics came up beautiful and the weather that day looked perfect! Our officiant suggested the wine and love letter box as one of the rituals she does and I’m on the fence about it! I’ve never been to a ceremony with one before. Did you two enjoy that part or regret it? I am also worried our guests will be confused and not see the meaning behind it lol. Thoughts?

    Gorgeous!!! You look beautiful everything looks flawlesss! I'm 9 days away and can't wait for this post. Your wedding looks amazing! I'm glad everything went so well. I love the bridesmaids shirts. I saw this on etsy a year ago and made my own spin of it and actually made my girls plaid flannel robes for getting ready! Goes so well with the rustic barn venue!

    Oh we LOVED that part! We are not religious at all so we needed some kind of extra something. This was the first we thought of. I’m a wine lover. Husband isn’t BUT he does love the wine that we chose to put in it. We wrote each other letters as well and we put our vow books in it since we wrote our own. The officiant read a little piece about what we were going to do. Then after we placed the wine, letters, and vows in it and locked it up, and he read a piece about how we will read the letters on our 5th anniversary, and then write new letters and put new wine in it for our 10th anniversary and so on. We ordered our box off Etsy and now it’s only display under our first book sign in our living room. I am so happy we did the wine box ceremony!!
