Our wedding was so special, emotional, beautiful and surrounded with so much joy and love.
Here is my intake:
- Something would go wrong! No doubt
- Get a coordinator!!! I can’t emphasize enough on this. I had no idea how many things went wrong, how behind schedule we were. All because my coordinator and her team handled it. I was an actual bride not worry about a thing.
- Enjoy every second of it! My morning went by really fast but the moment I walked down the aisle time slow down. It was an out of body experience. Usually brides say the day flies by and mine didn’t. I guess I was mentally ready for that to happened that it felt so normal to me.
- Make sure to eat and don’t drink too much. Not worth forgetting each moment. I had sooo much energy that day, I didn’t think it was possible. After the wedding ended at 12 am I was ready for the afterparty.
In general I loved everything about it wedding but I did notice things weren’t all as plan. My vendors didn’t all follow the contract to the tea and there were things missing. I didn’t let those little details get to me or ruin the night because there was nothing to be done at that time anyways. I did email all vendors later yo ask about it. To me it was more of the fact they should know of their mistakes so it doesn’t happen to the next bride. I was grateful for everything and u made sure they knew that but also wanted them to know their mistakes and constructive criticism. My guest didn’t know any details of our wedding so this things didn’t really affect them or their overall experience.
As for what went wrong that was beyond control: the wind! God was it windy. Cons of outside weddings. I had to remove my veil the moment I reached the end of the aisle because it wasn’t going to work even after switching positions with my husband. Pros of the wind was no heat and no mosquitos!
My personal experience: people do notice the way things look and they’ll comment about it on a general aspect, not on detail. However people remember mostly how you made them feel rather than your centerpiece. Spend more of your budget on the food, the entertainment as this is what they’ll take from your wedding day and what they’ll talk about months to come. This is coming from someone who spend a lot in decor and I don’t regret it but for those low on budget I believe this is an useful tip.
Overall it was the most beautiful day of my life. Every time I look back u just can’t help but smile.
