Our wedding went by so quickly but was absolutely amazing! I'm married to my best friend and this last month has been amazing and I'm excited for so many more. Now to the good stuff:
The good: The venue was gorgeous, almost all my family even the far away ones were able to make it, the photographer was amazing and I feel like we got some great photos, I married my best friend, the food was awesome. I DIYed the table decor, flowers, cake topper, welcome sign, blanket displays, my veil, my bustle and alterations, and coordinated myself and it all worked out!
The bad: We had SO MANY no shows. It was so frustrating. We invited 125, had 100 RSVP yes, and......50 show up. This 50 included my fiance and I. This resulted in over $700 in food/drinks wasted which was a really hard pill to swallow for our budget that we worked so hard for. Also our DJ cancelled on us 2 days before the wedding, but more on that later.
Budget breakdown:
Venue - Heritage Ranch: $2,000. This venue was so beautiful and included tables and chairs for reception, chairs for ceremony, ceremony arch, thousands of bistro lights,
Photographer - Cassandra Marie Photography: $1,899. This was THE BEST money we spent on the whole wedding. I'll attach pictures that speak for themselves but she made us feel so comfortable and was like a ghost hopping around during the ceromony. She didn't miss a single moment or detail.
Flowers - Sam's Club Bulk Flowers: $500. We saved so much money doing it this route and we got so many compliments on the florals. I had no floral background (though am fairly crafty) and was able to do all the floral prep in about 3 hours and arrangements in 2. We did the bridal bouquet, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, 6 boutonnieres, table florals, several garlands, ceremony arch florals, and headtable backdrop florals. This would have cost us thousands from a florist. Just make sure you have good example pictures to go off because I think that helped a ton
DJ - KC Weddings Plus: $700. DJ cancelled on us 2 days before the wedding. Told us he would send another "highly expereinced" DJ and would throw in free videography. I was pretty happy with this arrangement and was very understanding. However, on the day of a teenager showed up, messed up every song, missed every single announcement and had to be told multiple times to announce things, completely missed our cake cutting song and shoe game, AND the "professional videography" was this teenage boy setting up a tripod with a camera on it and the video we got back looks like a home movie. I'm trying to let this go but its hard. I feel like this was a lot of money wasted for such a terrible product.
Catering - Colton's steakhouse: $1,160. Food was amazing, but we had waaaay too much.
Cake - Smallcakes: $230 for 200 cupcakes and a 6 inch cutting cake. Again it was amazing, but we had way too much.
Dress - Maggie Sottero: $1800
Various decor/DIY supplies: 200
Probably a ton of other little things I'm forgetting, oops. We came in a little over our $10,000 budget

Now for the pictures. I tried to make them more geared towards decor since thats what I enjoyed most about seeing these when I was planning.
