Private last dance question!

Also what are the pros and cons to a last dance vs. send off?

I have no advice but I saw that post and thought it was super cute too. We are doing a last dance send off. Are party ends at 10pm so we want to do a bar crawl after. We decided to buy glow sticks and have everyone wave them around us while we dance and then we will start our adventure down the beach.

We did a last dance for everybody. The disadvantage of having a send off is that you risk your party ending sooner than you wanted. Usually the send off pics are staged and you are not really leaving, but your guests take this as a cue to start heading home. If you really are leaving, then it is usually much earlier than your reception ends. We spent a lot of money and had an awesome band and food, so there was no way we were leaving or sending a cue to our guests to leave before the very last minute.

My FH and I will be doing a lot of pics after the wedding. We plan to then return to the venue to have just one last dance with us in our venue alone with the fireplaces lit and going.

We're doing a private last dance. Our coordinator is going to line everyone up for the sparkler sendoff while we dance.

I think the private last dance is so sweet. I feel like after all the events from the day, it's nice to just ground yourselves and have a few moments alone before it's all over. I think the send off is nothing more than a photo opp - I prefer the last dance to the send off.

We had an unplanned last dance; only 4 to 5 guests were left and in the dining area. I heard one of my favorite songs come on, so my H and I walked to the next area to the dance floor and and danced by ourselves. Our photographer captured it unknowingly to me.
