Printing Escort Cards?

Jordan, on September 18, 2019 at 8:35 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15

I'm getting down to the wire with only 10 days until my wedding and FINALLY have a final headcount. I am now scrambling to figure out how to get escort cards printed. I have checked Etsy but all of the sellers need at least 3 weeks to have them printed. My wedding planner suggested buying them from Amazon and printing clear labels to stick on them I'm not in love with that idea because I'l worried about the look.

How did you guys print your escort or place cards?

We will probably order ours from Minted or Vistaptint. You can also purchase blank ones from office supply stores or Amazon and print directly on them.

Hi, Date Twin! We ordered ours from Minted last week, and they should be arriving today, so if you get a jump on them today, you should have them in time for your wedding next Saturday Smiley smile

A relative used the clear matte labels and printed hers, then put them on the patterned cards she'd ordered. They looked fine, so if you have trouble finding a vendor who can print them, it is an option.

Clear labels actually look great. You can get like shiny labels or matte labels. Just try it out!

By hand. The hard part was getting the guest list, and getting RSVP's, and earlier checking in titles. But 2 sets, the escort card and table place cards, took me the length of a movie on DVD, 167 people, one name per card, both sets. No envelopes to deal with, or stamps, it goes fast .

I bought Avery brand name cards from Office Depot and I’m handwriting them. I think handwriting gives it a nice personal touch

You could always buy a template from Etsy, and have them printed somewhere like Office Max - should be done in a day, and I'd bet they can cut them for you as well.

I'd say find a template on Etsy or even Word may have them. Then take them to get printed somewhere like Staples, FedEx, or UPS.

Like Caytlyn said you can purchase blank ones and print onto them OR if you are crafty and have a cricut set up the marker and have it do them for you! Thats what I plan on doing.

I bought blank name cards on Amazon & clear labels, then printed on the labels in a nice font & stuck them on. Unfortunately I don't have a picture but I thought it looked totally fine!

I got some from Michaels, they’re the David Tutera ones - you can print them from home. We did have some issues with it printing more towards the top of the card rather than the center, so I just put a Swarovski crystal on each one to make it look intentional.

I forgot to add, they’re a thicker paper so we think the printer we had (not the newest out there) wasn’t taking up the paper properly so that’s why they werent totally centered.

I'm planning on using clear labels to stick on cards because I know I don't have great hand writing. If you find some Avery labels you like I would definitely suggest that, they have a website full of free templates and fonts you can use. They're actually pretty cute and have some that look handmade. I know you can also order them on there, but I don't know what that time or cost looks like.
