Printing custom escort cards?

AG, on July 10, 2018 at 9:46 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8

So I really need to order my escort cards as my wedding is in 3 weeks!

I found a template on Etsy I really like, but I can't find any websites that can print tented, 3.5 x 2 escort cards. I've found the blank Avery ones from Staples, but I don't think I can send them the Etsy template.

Does anyone know any websites where I can upload my own design? I've tried searching all of the normal ones and can't seem to find the right card type Smiley sad

Can you just print at home? That’s what I did the day before our wedding because we switched the seating arrangements and our printed cards from Minted were useless at that point. I used a template from Etsy with crop marks and bought a paper trimmer at Target. Printed on 110 lb. cardstock from Michael’s and trimmed away. I didn’t have time to cut the tented style, so I just did flat cards since those were quicker. But I did try out one tent style by gentle using an X-acto knife (also from Michael’s) to score the fold.

Michael’s also has escort/place card templates kits. You buy the box full of perforated cards and then use an online template to print at home.

Otherwise, you’ll just need to order printed cards. Etsy has vendors that can print their cards, you can also find cards at Vistaprint, Shutterfly, Basic Invite, Minted, Zazzle, etc. 3 weeks isn’t too bad for shipping, but you may need to pay for faster shipping.

    Good luck!

Vistaprint has escort cards. And one of their options is one that allows you to have your logo/photo on them.

    Hi AG!

Don't stress, you've got some options here and great advice in this thread! Printing them and cutting yourself is an option. As is using Michaels, Vistaprint, Shutterfly, Basic Invite, Minted, and Zazzle. I have personal experience with Vistaprint , and if you have any issues uploading your design, they have a great customer service line and will be able to help!

In addition to these, I have used FedEx printing locations too which are also really helpful. I went to their location in-person, but you can also do it totally online. They have an email address you send your design to (super easy) and you describe the dimensions you want & type of paper. They print for you and can do the cutting as well. You can choose from quality cardstocks & the colors come out beautifully.

    I hope this helps!

I am following this thread. I have been trying to figure out whether to go through a company of DIY escort cards, getting it figured out is my goal this and next week.

I'm working on the same time frame and don't feel like spending the additional money to have someone else print them. We decided on the Avery blank cards, and you can go right on their website, punch in the 4 digit product code, and create your own cards in their design and print feature! You can choose from their stocked images/backgrounds, or you can even upload anything you'd like, so if you want the template from Etsy buy it, save it, and upload it to be your background and print them right at home! They do also offer printing services on that size too, however not sure on the timing, you would need to check.

Hey there AG!! What did you end up doing to print your escort cards? Did/are you printing them at home or are you outsourcing to another printer?
