Hello! My fiance and I have picked out our perfect venue. The only issue is now picking a date. We love a venue in Clearwater, FL area. We want our ceremony on the beach, close to sunset, in mid-June. For those with experience, how was the weather/heat/humidity for you and your will guests at a 30 min sunset ceremony? (Yes, our reception will be in AC indoors).

Also - how did photos turn out? Were you and your fiance sweating the entire time or did everything turn out how you wanted?

Everyone is saying that the heat and humidity are not that bad, but I would love to hear previous experiences for reassurance.

Thanks!
Nicole

Are you stuck on June? What about maybe March? Or October? It’s going to be very warm and for guests they can be sitting out there for up to an hour before it’s all said and done. If you must do this hold everyone for welcome drinks and then let them get seated about 10min max before the processional. Have water and other beverages at the ready, they should be able to drink some sort of mock tail, cocktail, spa water during your ceremony if it’s outside on the beach.

Seriously, Clearwater in June on the beach is miserable. Your guests are going to hate it. It's hot, humid, with a very warm wind that will melt your makeup and make your hair frizz. If you want an outdoor wedding, especially in FL, you need to think sometime in October - March. Maybe April. The months of May, June, July, August, and September should be out. And this is coming from a FL native.

I wasn’t a June bride but IMO as a guest, June isn’t the best time to go to the beach. Plus late may is when it starts to get so hot and humid that afternoon rain is pretty much a promise daily. I live in Florida and love the beach but dread summer beach weddings because they aren’t comfortable, at all.

Consider March or November-December. If you want it close to sunset March sunset is at like 6:30pm so a 6pm ceremony would be perfect for everyone. Sunset in June is like 8:30pm.

I live in Florida, and there’s a reason most weddings are spring or fall. No one could pay me enough money to stand outside in my wedding dress in June *shrug*
