Yes do it! My fiance was married before and this is my only time. They had a courthouse wedding and I made it clear that I wanted a wedding and wanted to make it totally different than that of his first. I would never tell someone to not celebrate, but I would make the day special and different from your first. If you had a big elaborate wedding the first time, maybe make it more intimate this time. He only reason I think the wedding should be different is because you don't want any I'll memories creeping back on that day.

This is my second wedding. Fiancé’s first. We’re definitely doing a more low key event than my first. There are several things I wouldn’t do this time around (primarily bridesmaids and groomsmen) but I am letting him decide what parts of a wedding are important to him and I’m just going with it
