Preservation Services

Alyssa, on September 15, 2020 at 3:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Hi ladies!

I am getting married on October 3rd and am hoping to get my dress and bouquet preserved. Does anyone have any recommendations for preservation companies? I've been searching, but the possibilities are endless. If you've had good experiences with certain companies, please let me know! Or if you've had a terrible experience with a certain company, please note that. I'm feeling overwhelmed with the options and I'm nervous to just pick one knowing these services are expensive and I've heard some horror stories!

Many thanks!

Sadly I've found some awesome ones, but they're all booked. Smiley sad I did not think to put in a flower preservation request 6+ months out.

What kind of preservation are you looking for? Like a shadow box, pressed, resin, etc.?

(I personally like resin and it seems like all the best places are booked through the end of the year.)

For dress preservation - lots of places to this! David's Bridal offers it, as does the local shop where I got my dress, so I'll be going directly through them.

I'm doing the David's Bridal dress preservation. I have no plans for professional flower preservation, but after my sister's wedding one of the bridesmaid bouquets was stuck in my parent's freezer (no clue why) but when they pulled it out months later it still looked the exact same. You could do that and press them or do a shadow box

I worked in bridal for three years, and then bought my wedding dress as a sample and had it cleaned by them- I cannot recommend the Wedding Gown Preservation Company enough. They’re located in New York (the store I worked at was in California) but you can ship your dress there. They make your gown look brand new and box it in a shadow box on a dress form. They’ve been in business over 100 years, wedding gowns is all they do. They are the best. Their website is gownpreservation.com, let me know if you have anymore questions about my personal or business experience with them!
