Pregnant honeymoon

Mary, on December 25, 2019 at 8:25 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5
So I’m trying to figure out what to do about our honeymoon. We live in Florida so it’s a fairly easy state to find destinations. I don’t know what to plan on doing because I am high-risk do to a previous very preterm labor. I would like to spend some time together but I am normally into active things. I will be about 27 weeks when we go. I’m thinking maybe something simple just to spend some time together then going after the baby for another little vacation.

Why not a resort in the Caribbean or just head down to Key West. Not sure where you are from but I know for me it would be an 8 hour drive.

If you are high risk I would error on the side of caution. The health of you and your baby is priority. Look for low risk activities to do but if you feel that would limit your fun, definitely plan for after giving birth.

A cruise is always a good idea if you’re able to get out of the country at all. Is not hectic and you can use it as a way to relax. If not Florida offers a lot of options and places to relax with great beach. Not sure what part of Florida you’re in but Michael island down in south Florida is a very quiet beach town, anywhere in Naples is good too. Maybe a drive to Ana María or Sarasota. A great option is also the Keys in south florida. I would stay away from South Beach, Miami Beach or Fort Lauderdale as is more hectic and party atmosphere.

That’s an obvious choice right! Apparently after 24 weeks they will not allow you to take a cruise and you have to have a paper from your doctor saying you are not high-risk. It sucks cause I saw a good deal for one too.

I'm very pro staying in the US in case you would need medical attention.

I think maybe a mini moon and a post baby moon might be a great idea. Plus baby could probably cruise free except for childcare.
