Pregnant brides

Monica, on March 22, 2020 at 5:51 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 13
Hey ladies. How many of you were pregnant before your wedding or are currently pregnant now? How did it go on ur wedding day, how were u feeling?

Postponing the wedding is seriously hurting my timeline. I wanted to get pregnant immediately after getting married and now we might be pushing back another 6months. Im really really nervous about being pregnant by the time of thr wedding. We really dont want to wait longer because our daughter is 5yrs old (we wanted a baby last year but then we started wedding planning)
The first time i was pregnant it was terrible. I was sooo sick. I lost 40lb. I couldn’t eat or keep food down for a full 3months, I couldn’t leave the house just walking around made me nauseous. Im scared what if by the time of the wedding im super sick again. And also what if i cant fit my dress. Can I change the dress from a zipper to corset to fit the baby bump? At least i wont be 6mo preg or more.

I’m currently pregnant but wasn’t pregnant when I got married. This is so hard because every single person and pregnancy is different. For me my stomach hasn’t gotten much bigger yet but my chest has gotten a lot bigger. I was really nauseous for the first couple months but it’s gotten better in my second trimester. I would’ve been miserable getting married in my first trimester but some people are fine! I also learned you can’t really plan when you do get pregnant. I would weigh out the pros and cons of everything. Only you can decide if a wedding or trying for a baby should take priority.

Lol honestly both have priority 😩. Im just nervous is all. It took a while to actually get pregnant and im prone to miscarriages so I know theres no way to fully plan when to get pregnant. Im just worried but i guess im willing to be pregnant at our wedding. Last time I needed an IV at my dr office and i felt sooo good after for like a whole week. Lol felt like they gave me drugs.

My last pregnancy since i lost so much weight I didnt start to really show until about 4-5months and that was barely noticeable. At 6-7mo I had to photoshop my maternity pics so I actually looked fully preg lol.

This is my first pregnancy but from my friends that have had 2 they said they started showing soooo much earlier with their second because your body knows what to do. If it were me I would start trying since it seems like you really don’t want to put it off longer, and then make adjustments depending on what happens.

Yeah that makes sense! It might take your body a little while to regulate after getting it out as well.

This is so stressful for us too! We've been civilly married for about a year, and I kept saying no to kids until our church wedding. Now it may be pushed back another year.... Crazy how things don't go as planned! It sucks.

I might be in the same boat haha. Our wedding was supposed to be may 9th and we will legally get married that day but were planning a vow renewal and reception on august 30th. However I have an appointment may 13th to have my iud taken out. Which was planned before this virus. It runs out in may so I cant push it back any farther 😂 I have a 8 year old and I'm desperate to give him a sibling with my fiance.

Getting married in September but recently found out I'm pregnant😱 this certainly wasn't a plan pregnancy at all and very shocked. Once again I'll be getting married and be pregnant (second marriage) so not what I had envisioned how I'll be getting married and certainly not be 5/6 months pregnant. Plus this virus still happening and our governor still has an ban on how many guests are allowed (10) per social gatherings. I rather just have small ceremony n then next year sometime have our wedding.

Good luck to you! Im planning to remove my bc when shelter in place ends and I can make an appt w my doctor. We really want our wedding situation to be over with. We want to hold our ceremony/reception this year even if we can only have 50ppl. Fingers crossed that we still can. Im nervous about everything. About getting pregnant again, being pregnant during our celebration & hoping to not have to postpone again because if we have to then we might just fully cancel.
