Pre-RSVP??????

His Mrs A, on April 16, 2013 at 6:48 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

I got a text from a family member today asking if he could pre-RSVP. I've never done this nor was I planning to do this for our wedding. Now my phone is constantly ringing with people asking if they can. I'm no where close to sending out invites yet. What do I tell these people? Some of them aren't invited. Yikes

I would tell those that will be invited you will collect RSVPs when it's closer to your deadline so it's more accurate.

Those that aren't actually invited I would say something like:

There are so many people we would love to have been able to invite, but we're trying to keep our wedding small. It means so much to me that you're interested, and I so wish I could have everyone there with us!

Carrie, thanks. I haven't answered anyone yet because I just didn't know what to say. I wasn't planning on dealing with any of this until July.

Lol @ people rsvp'ing without being invited. that's just horrible. seems like there are a lot of background conversations going on.

if you weren't planning on doing it then don't. let them know that they can rsvp once they recieve their invite.
