Has anyone done this? If so, how were you able to try dresses on to decide what you liked?

I didn’t end up buying one, but when my MOH and I went thrifting one of the shops had a whole rack of wedding dresses. They had a really cute 1920’s style dress that I thought about trying on, but we were in a hurry.
Otherwise, I would go try on dresses so you know what silhouette, maybe even exactly the dress you’re looking for before buying a preowned dress since generally you can’t try them on. You also want to know what size to get, a lot of people say bridal sizes you need to size up two sizes, but that wasn’t necessary for me so know what is going to fit based on your body.

There are boutiques that sell them. Online there are places such as Stillwhite.com where you might try on a new dress instore and get it online half price

Preownedweddingdresses.com and eBay has a nice variety- you can go to a boutique to try on various styles then try to find online, just check the measurements to make sure it fits

Yes like everyone else is saying, try on gowns locally to find the silhouettes and sizes that work for you, before you buy one preowned.

Most preowned are final sale, though some sellers do have a return policy. Often with a restocking fee, and shipping is never refunded.
    Good luck!

I tried on silhouettes at boutiques first expecting to find something and I just never did. After I found out what silhouette I wanted, I took to online and found a bridal resale site called Stillwhite. My dress is pre-owned but was never worn. Tons of the dresses are heavily discounted and you communicate directly with the seller. I got my dress within a week after purchasing. It looks exactly like the photo. Now I'm just waiting to get it altered.

Yeah I’m on there now and just unsure of how I can try most on and then return if I don’t like them.
