Pre-Mixed Cocktails

Future Mrs. Coombs, on June 2, 2013 at 11:16 AM Posted in Planning 0 5

So I saw a pin on pinterest (my wedding planning assistant lol) and I saw this idea for putting pre-mixed cocktails in mason jars and just having them add ice. I'm not sure if this would throw off the whole feel of the wedding. We won't be doing a rustic themed wedding (which is usually the themed weddings I see mason jars used in.)

Could you think of an alternative or do you think this would throw off everything?

FH and I went to a wedding where the drinks were pre-mixed (margaritas, martinis) They were on ice in pitchers. The couple hired staff who poured drinks as guests arrived.

We were thinking of putting them in those glass drink dispensers (a friend of mine has 4) and having the bartenders serve those.

That seems like a good idea too though.

What kinds of drinks are you considering?

I honestly don't know the name of my drink. A family friend makes this drink that she makes at every party she has with 7up, pineapple juice, orange juice, guava juice and little bit of Malibu. We'll have a virgin and alcoholic version of my drink. My fiance's signature drink will be Coke & Brandy.

We were thinking of either putting them in the drink dispensers or using pitchers to serve the drinks.

Also is it wrong to limit the amount of alcoholic drinks each adult can have? I don't want our wedding to turn into a drama fest or anything.

The drink your friend makes can be served in either of our suggestions. The Coke and Brandy can be refrigerated and served by request.

You know your guests better than anyone. If you believe a cap is needed, then I agree.
