Pre-Cana--Brooklyn or Queens

My FH and I are attending Pre-Cana this weekend in Queens (which is the diocese of Brooklyn.) It's Friday evening and all day Saturday. FH is starting to get anxious about it and what wondering will be expected of us and how the day will go. Can anyone let us know what the sessions will involve? Specifically, he is wondering about how much talking in front of others will be required. I want to allay his concerns as much as possible as he's not Catholic and has never gone through any Catholic rituals other than going to mass. He is more than happy to have a Catholic wedding but he is very quiet and the not knowing is anxiety producing.

    Lol OP my FH felt the same way. Don't worry it's not that much of the couple's talking aloud. A few questions will be thrown out and some people will answer or they will have you answer in unison. There will be a workbook to work out of and you will work separately then come together as a couple. The workbook activities are pretty fun. After Pre Cana FH grew a little closer and realized how this sacrament is so important for us to fulfill together.

    We attended Pre Cana as well and we weren't required at all to talk in front of others just to each other. FH and I actually really enjoyed ourselves as we got to talk about some serious issues but we also had fun goofing off too. They didn't make it like a big 'class' type of thing it really focused on you two as a couple. No ice breakers or group sharing unless you wanted to share.

    @ OP yes we did ours at Mary Nativity within the Diocese of Brooklyn.
