Postponing completely...

Who has postponed everything? Even “legally” getting married in the courthouse. Praying for you all and thinking of you. I’m in the same boat 💗.

My wedding date was May 2nd and I had to postpone it to Oct 16th, the wedding venue made us keep in in 2020 which made it difficult since all the Saturdays in 2020 where already taken except for the day after Christmas. It was a stressful couple of weeks trying to find a date that worked for all the original vendors but I was able to make it work. Except for the wedding venue all the vendors were amazing and very accommodating due to the circumstances of the pandemic. The weather in Charleston SC was perfect on May 2nd so it better be just as good on Oct 16th!

Katie my original date was also May 2nd! The weather was gorgeous here in South Florida... 80 degrees, no humidity and not a cloud in the sky all day. It hurt a bit!

YES no humidity is key when you live in the south east! It definitely did hurt a bit. We tried to make the most of the day...I wore a white sundress and we enjoyed the beautiful weather out of the deck while having cake and champagne....it helped a little Smiley shame

I decided to push a full year. We were set for August 29th but ended up deciding to postpone to August 21st of next year. Decided on a full year to be safe and because I really want a summer wedding.

We postponed everything. Our wedding was planned for May 30, 2020. We would have only had 23 days left at this point. But a month ago, we realized that our dream wedding would not be able to go forward on that date.

We didn't want to give up anything we had planned, or give up on all the people we love being there. So, we pushed it out for a whole year, in hopes that the worst of the pandemic will be over, and we can have the wedding of our dreams. Our new date is May 29, 2021. Fingers crossed that this will be far enough out!!

Thinking of all of you who have had to postpone, either partially or fully. I wish you the best of luck!! Stay well. Smiley heart

We postponed everything till next June. Living in CNY and the weather makes things hard. Our venue only had days available in Oct or November. We also wanted to have our family and friends here to enjoy the day. So we decided to wait till next year. It always a difficult decision to make, we know it was the right thing to do. Stay safe.
