Well it is official my FH and I decided to postpone our 218 wedding ceremony and reception. This took many, many, many tears, and a couple of disagreements to finalize.
Thankfully the priest agreed to marry us no matter what on the 17th so we will have a simple catholic mass on the 17th with parents and siblings and one friend each. This was so difficult for us and part of us does not feel like celebrating at all but we have waited long enough and are ready to be married. We will try and live stream the mass for the loved one who won't be there. We won't be doing our Mexican traditions of a lazo, arras or flowers to Mary. Due to the uncertainty of it all we don't want to reschedule it this year and have to move it all over again so we are hoping our venue will let us move our date to April 16/17 2021. When my FH called them this weekend they told us to wait until April to call and move the date which frustrates me so much. If we already know we do not want to put our loved ones at risk why should we have to wait. This is not our first choice if we could we would still be having our dream wedding this year. The church already told us we won't have to pay them again when we decided to redo our ceremony with all the trimmings. Today I will call our florist and DJ and hope they work with us. I will still wear my dress but instead of flowers my MOH is making a bouquet out of book pages. Since she is a teacher with 2 kids at home right now she has some time and still wanted to help. My FH is in charge of photographer and venue. This time around we hope we can get a few good pictures just on phone cameras and my dads real camera.
We will also be canceling my bachelorette party that was scheduled first weekend in Arpil in Paso Robles and his bachelore party set the weekend before the wedding. So sad that all the things we wanted and people planned for us can't happen. Trying to stay positive.
If anyone knows the best way to live stream with phones or tablets I am all ears. Right now my FH is thinking of just live streaming it on Facebook.
