Today would have marked the 3-month countdown to our “perfect ten” 10/10/20 wedding. But instead of mailing invitations... FH and I each text this postponement announcement to our guests (Wow... it’s really official now). I kept these general because I found the perfect change-the-date cards to share our October 2021 date. So, for now, the plan is to celebrate our “would be” wedding day with a getaway.

I’ve now embraced 2021 and still feel excited about the wedding. Best wishes to all of the 2020 brides… Especially the 10/10/20 brides!!! 😉

I like these!! Nice work on the design! We just sent out our postponement announcements earlier this week too, I understand the feeling of "it's really official now". Sounds like you have a good plan for your original date!

Thank you!! Yes! It’s definitely real now... but this virus doesn’t have me real confident in 2021 either. However we can’t postpone again, so we’ll make it work. I see you postponed to 2022. I would have done the same but our engagement was already long... 21 months now to 33 months 🤦🏽‍♀️ 😆

That's such a fun way to share the info! And I also think it's smart to send your guests a "TBD" message for now to keep them up to date, it also let's you take your time finalizing & announcing your new plans!
I hope it felt like a relief to break the news officially!

I feel you! We are 10/10/20. This is supposed to be a perfect day for us too. We are still talking to the venue about postponing since majority of our guests are uncomfortable.

Thanks and, yes, it definitely felt like a relief. I’m also glad we left the announcements without a date. Initially we were postponing to 10/2/21. But, we agreed that it’s too close to FH birthday (on 9/29). So today we made the final final decision of 10/30/21 instead.
