Postpone or Keep the date!

Is that the only alternative venue in your area? Take at look at peerspace.com or eventective.com for venue options. The venue should have informed you about the closure. Make sure to mention that in a review. It depends on if you're committed to that date or flexible with an alternative..hopefully less expensive elsewhere.

That is the cheapest alternative in my location. As a local resident, I've searched high and low. You're absolutely right..the venue should have and it is completely unprofessional and rude! Unfortunately, I cannot submit a review as it's a community center type of venue.

Weigh out the pros and cons of each and follow your gut.
