Postpone feelings

Nicole, on March 17, 2020 at 6:42 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 8

Let me tell you ladies, I wasn't freaking out any until I walked into the local grocery store and seen the meat department, most of the paper department, and now snacks all disappearing. I couldnt believe it! It wasn't until Saturday morning it hit me that me fear of postponing our big day would actually happen. And well it did. It took everything I had to not cry on my way to work this morning. My FH kept telling me "I don't care, we will go to the court house. we ARE getting married". Then the courthouse shut down, the dmv, stores are limited to time open, and restaurants/bars are closed. Most everything has been able to transition in the the new date, as heartbroken as I am, the bright side I see is I can get all the little last minute nonsense ready and not freak out about it!

Previous date: April 26. 2020

New date: Sept 13. 2020

Feels like it will be forever but I know it will fly by!! Stay safe and healthy ladies. Love goes out to all those affected by the craziness!

It is surreal and eery what a market looks like here now when aisles on aisles are emptied like people prepping for a doomsday

Thats our new date too! Our original date was April 25th. We are planning to still get married on the 25th even if it's just with our immediate family. So hopefully we won't be on lockdown at that point.

Our officiant said if we would like, she could do it over videochat and we just send her our license so she can sign it and send it to the county clerk. So we may end up doing that.

Awh! I’m so sorry! We are in the same boat. Our original wedding date was 4/25 but we have moved it to 9/5. I’ve been breaking down and crying a lot. We made the decision yesterday, but honestly feeling a lot better today

I am so sorry. I can't even imagine how you are feeling. I am hanging tight, hoping things will start to get better, our date is 5-15-20. Right now the court houses are closed, but if they open we are running to get the license. Even if we can't have the reception, we will get married. This is such an odd time. God Bless and happy memories to you and all who are affected.

It's really, really, really eerie to be in the market. I was the same way till I saw the market and then was like woah, this is real. I may have to postpone too, I'm May 22, and it's so sad. I know it's not the end of the world but I can't help but be upset.

This is a really a painful time for everyone who prepare their dream wedding. Not only everything looks insane out there, but the more horrible side is that we slowly hearing bad news.

My 8 years old’s classmate lost her dad last Saturday, neighbor (a few blocks away) passed away last Sunday, dad of my old friend passed away this morning. Corona is evil!
My excitement for my long dreamed wedding slowly decreasing and I am starting to feel up and down.
Be grateful and blessed that we still have our love ones 🙏🏻
