Postcard-style STDs: Opinions & Experiences?

I've received some postcard style STDs, I've always thought they were cute and probably least likely to get lost in junk mail since you can see what it is right away. Would it also be cheaper to ship without needing envelopes? Are there any major cons to doing them that way?

We did postcard style with ours no envelope. We got them from zazzle.

Matte postcard through minted, with standard coastal birds stamps. No issues! Totally recommend.

My experience i woud do an envelope. A lot of ours were damaged when they got to the destination

I've always heard it's better to do an envelope because of how dirty they get in the mail. That being said, I hadn't even thought of post card rsvp and now I'm thinking of that since I'm the only one who sees that end result anyways

For RSVPs, who cares if they get dirty on the way back? Only you (or the hosts) will see them!
For STDs, I understand the concern.
