Postal Service Woes 😭

I have heard that it is better to take invites to the actual post office and have them hand cancel them rather than dumping stacks into the blue boxes. It's supposed to cut down on the machines damaging them or reading the address wrong.

We got one save the date sent back and discovered we needed the extra four digits on the zip code for one nyc address.

This just happened to me. I delivered my invitations to the post office and gave them directly to the worker. Somehow not all of my invitations was delivered. I have a lot of people saying that they never received there's.

This happened to me too! It was so frustrating because I had family members hounding my mom about it too. Unnecessarily creating drama by thinking they weren't going to be invited. Now I'm super nervous about sending the invites too, I mean, postate ain't cheap! I 100% feel you! 😭

We dropped ours at the post office a mile from my parents house and it took 2 months before they got it! I ended up handing them an extra after about a month and a half and 2 weeks later they finally got it. FSIL and her daughter (college) both got 1 that we sent to FSIL's address. Her daughter's arrived within days, FSIL got hers more than a month later... same address and they were dropped at the post office literally stacked on top of each other! We are sending our invites 12 weeks before the wedding specifically to budget time for these kinds of delays but luckily everyone we talked to so far did eventually get their STD.

When I ask for addresses I am just going to tell everyone to let me know after a week if they haven't received anything from me. So hopefully I'll be able to tell who did and didn't receive their STD.

This happened to me too! With the Save the Dates. I ended up finding out that a handful of people never received them, so I was super glad to have extras! I am worried about this for the invitations as well, but I will most likely follow up with everyone I haven't heard from!

Oh no! Did you get them back in the mail or they just never arrived? So far, only two people haven't received theirs (to my knowledge). One came back to our house.

We had one save the date get sent back to us because we had the wrong town written on it, but the zip code was correct. But just recently a shower invite was successful delivered within two days with the zip code being one digit off 🙄 I hate snail mail

We had one person who said they never got theirs, and we never got it back. I have a somewhat hard time believing them but I sent them another to be nice! Our RSVP date isn't for another 4 days, so I guess when I call the people who haven't RSVPed I'll know if they got them or not.
