Postage - Don't be this bride

Jennifer, on December 28, 2019 at 1:33 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
I went to the post office this morning to weigh my invites in order to ensure they had proper postage. They told me that they just had a bride not too long ago that put 35 cent stamps on her invites and sent them out and well...I think we know how the story went from there. Here is a friendly reminder to not guess on postage! Invites are way too pricey to have them go nowhere!

Definitely always better to weigh your invites beforehand! Also, for those who didn’t know, the post office sells $.70 stamps that are perfect for most typical invitation suites (they work for up to 2 oz I believe).

I took mine in to weigh (it’s only going to require 1 stamp). But I was surprised a single stamp is now $0.55!!! I was still thinking they were only $.35 too lol! So glad I asked before I sent mine out!

Great tip! I ordered a custom stamp and figured since it was part of the suite it should be the right amount. A coworker knew someone who had their invites returned and warned me to triple check and I was short! I’m glad I had the warning the morning I planned to mail them! Saved me big time!

Some online options pre stamp it. I'm going to use this options to ensure I don't do this!

A good solution to saving money on postage is to purchase unused postage from EBAY Company sell off their postage unused rolls things like that when they go out of business when they move excetera I purchased a roll of stamps $0.55 a piece Total $53 for 100 stamps
