Post your mermaid / fit and flare dress

I am going to start dress shopping the end of the month and looking for an affordable mermaid, fit and flare or trumpet dress to wear looking for something $1000 or so or even under. Or if you have any suggestions even if you didn't pick that style. Please incl designer and style # if possible

I'm going for simple but elegant. It is from David's bridal...The back has buttons all of the way down - which is part of what sold me (and my whole bridal party) on it.

@ Monica and SashaB...I LOVE your dresses. Mine is a Sottero Midgley. The picture has it fluffed, I'm having some of the tulle removed to make it lay a bit more flat. She has a lot of great fit and flares--if you hit trunk sales, you can probably get to your goal of 1k.

The one on the left is the one I am getting - Mori Lee 1813. It looks NOTHING like the picture online!! I would never have even tried it on had I seen it before. And it have detachable lace straps that cover your shoulders and creates a keyhole back if you want. The other was the first one I liked (and a close second!) It's Stella York 5708.

Karen, I love your dress! I tried it on and it was a hard decision between that one and the one I got. Defintely beautiful and sophisticated.

    GORGEOUS dresses lady!!

Just a word of advice Starfire (which you of course are free to take or leave)...I would try on all styles! I SWORE I wanted a mermaid/fit a flare, and they just didn't look that great on me, you may be surprised what you like/don't like Smiley smile

This is from my final fitting. The only difference between this picture and how the dress is now is I had it pressed.

Thanks Diane! I am actually putting a corset in the left one and making the back train sheer (the only 2 things that kept bringing me back to the first gown).

Here's a picture of me and one of me and my dad at my wedding. My dress is a Sincerity 3722, by Justin Alexander. I never thought I'd like the mermaid style but this was so perfect for me. I'm still in love with it and want to wear it more!
