I am. I'm trying to figure out how to get this done. They are talking about a possible second shut down.

I don’t know if this will make you feel better, but I really don’t envision a full shut down again. Here in Chicago we have moved back on a few of the restrictions that were previously lifted, but gatherings of 50 are still allowed, and our mayor and governor have been super strict. It’s just a hunch, but I do think there’s a strong chance it’ll be okay if your wedding isn’t very large! The waiting part is just so hard.

HI Laura, I know the pressure you're feeling but watch the news and really do your own research. States may be pulling back and staying in more restrictive phases, but I really don't see us going back to a full Phase 1 (March) shutdown again. We've already seen the economic disaster it's caused and no state, government can handle that again.

Our wedding is a couple weeks after yours and we're planning for it in the FL Keys (the other Hotspot) -I read yesterday that the county has instilled more facial mask requirements (including just walking down the street) but noted they won't mandate them for weddings and they are still keeping their group sizes to 50. More restrictions, not shutdowns.

Have faith, it will all work out.

I saw the update you're talking about this morning on KMOV. I think you're right to have some concerns. At this point, were I you, I would make a secondary plan for either a zoom celebration or some other socially distanced event, and talk to your vendors about contingencies.

Hey girl! I'm in St. Louis too. Fortunately, you have a small group so you should be fine! Though I definitely see restrictions happening again. They probably need to with how bad the numbers are spiking.

I need my venue to stay open. I'm getting flowers through them, the officiant, and location. I'm moving alterations up - just in case.

Mine isn't until next October, but I'm also in the wedding industry. And, not gonna lie, filming a wedding with 100+ people is a little scary right now. I don't see the venues shutting down since they lost a lot of money the first time, but I do see the city and county scaling back the amount of people you can have at an event. Or even masks when not eating or drinking.
