Poll: Which shoes?

Kristen, on January 27, 2022 at 4:18 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 3 14

My original shoe choice didn't work out, so I'm considering some others. Which pair do you like better? I attached a picture of the gown I'm wearing, too, for reference.

Honestly, I would avoid any shoe that has a large ornamental element (like the rhinestone circle or strap on these choices), especially with the material of your particular dress. The fabric of long dresses tends to catch on objects like these

I agree with Cece. I would go with something that has a smaller (or smoother) embellishment. You definitely don't want them catching in your dress.

I agree with Cece, your dress is so heavily beaded I'd be worried on catching my shoes on the embellishments and tripping, although both pairs are super cute!

What about something like these -

Or perhaps something with pearls - I found these from Bella Belle, but I've seen sandals - because they're pearls, they're less likely to catch?

It’s impossible to say from a picture. You need to try them on to decide.

I agree about avoiding large jagged ornamental decoration on the front of the shoe that could catch on the dress. Otherwise, I think it's just what is comfortable for a whole night of standing and dancing.

Personally I love both but with your dress, would choose the second. The styles perfectly complement each other. And assuming your dress is lined, I don’t think they would catch on the dress.

If you will be dancing all night, I think the Muaddi's may have a more stable heel and foot grip. Or how about these close-toed shoes in similar pricepoint:

    Aquazurra Gatsby

    Aquazurra bow

    Rene Caovilla

    Bottega Veneta

I like the second. The first seem a little "clubby".

Bit of warning, those clear plastic shoes tend to fog up easily. It’s not the best look, although they are cute.
