Polite way to remind guests to rsvp

I just sent them a text saying "Hey, We are trying to get our final guest count in to the caterer. Will you and XXXX be joining us?"

You really can't say anything until the deadline date listed and track them down asap.

I have four families to follow up with this week, our rsvp date was 8/22 and we need the final count by 8/28. I plan to just text everyone and them them I’m submitting my final count and need to know if they will be attending, and also ask if they have any questions. FH’s adoptive sister hasn’t rsvp’d but she texted him a bunch of questions the other day then got snotty with him and told him she assumed we knew they were coming 🙄. A lot of people want to know how many guests we are expecting, if masks are required (it’s a statewide mandate here), etc.

Our rsvp date is august 31st, I’m sending that text September 1st, and they have till the 4th (probably changing it to the 3rd) to respond

You know I don’t think anything is wrong with just being like hey can’t wait to hear back from you, you think you’re coming? Etc like more of a casual convo

Our wedding website sent a reminder out 1 week before RSVP's were due. That helped greatly and we ended up only having to ask 1 couple after the deadline!
