Has anyone tried the Polaroid guestbook? If you have, what did guests think of it?

I had some friends do it. It was cute, but it took awhile -- we waited until everyone else did it and then went back later.

I haven't tried this yet, but this is exactly what we're doing! I got a fujifilm instax mini 9 camera at Best buy (yesterday, actually for $50!). I also found these cute little corner inserts to put into the guest book to make it simple for guests to put their photo in the book.

My DOC suggested we do it this way. A lot cheaper than hiring a company, and you get to keep the instant camera afterwards!

I was going to do it. But I decided on something else. I’m still thinking about having my Polaroid camera there anyways with a bunch of film for a small photo booth area. That way people can either take or leave pics. The film can be a little pricy too. My reasons for not having it were the lines waiting even tho my wedding is small. Imagine 30/40 ppl waiting to take pic. And then some people might not do it.

We're doing this! We got the Polaroid camera with the printer built in and adhesive photo paper.

I'm a little concerned about our older relatives not knowing how to use the camera/print the photos, but we'll have "cute" instructional frames (kind of like the photo example) on the table and hope for the best.

We are doing this, and I have been to a wedding where they did this,

Please be aware some guests will take more photos and take some with them! So be prepared with extra film!

We were going to do this but then changed our minds. The reason we opted out of this is the concern of people taking multiple/ too many pics if they weren’t happy with the ones they took and also having to have someone assist guest to reload the camera. We are already doing a photo booth so that also swayed our decision. We are gonna do a matte canvas of our engagement photos as our guestbook instead

We're doing this as well! I got the camera gifted to me from my younger brother and he bought two sets of film. While the film is expensive, we are planning to have twice as many film as we do guests to allow guests to take 2 pictures if they feel the need to (Amazon has 100 film for $75 which is a pretty good price compared to some stores that I've seen). I would hope some pictures would be a group or couples so it's one film for a group/couple photo but we're prepared for individual pictures. I actually just ordered my guestbook to put these pictures in and when it arrives, I plan to put the adhesive photo corners in the book so all the guests have to do is slide the picture in and write a message. Also planning to put up some signs on what to do but my younger brother assigned himself to watch the camera to help those who need help or reloading the film, lol.

A friend of mine did it a couple of years ago! I loved the idea and it looked really good. A few things i noticed; it took a lot longer than I expected. I was one of the people helping and it was just a long process of waiting for the picture to show and making sure they liked it before it went into the book. That being said, people definitely took more than one picture (guilty), one went in the photo book and one was taken home. People also wrote way more than expected. It was supposed to fit three polaroids per page but it just was not working out that way. All in all, it was very cute and if you have someone to watch the camera and help with explaining how it all works it has potential to be really really adorable!

    Good luck! Smiley heart

I think it's really cute, however polaroid photos seem to fade over time and that would make me sad.

I plan to do this, but will have 2 cameras and encourage guest to leave us a picture and take one w them. So planning on having all the film I can afford. I found some Polaroid size standing albums that can be displayed on our living room after the wedding. My niece will be attending the Polaroid table for a part of the wedding, she's 14 and thrilled to be in charge of this, again for a portion of the time. Still an idea in progress!

I haven't gotten married yet, so I haven't done one. However, as a guest at my cousin's wedding on new years I loved it! I stress trying to find the words for a guestbook and ai feel like this idea will provide a lot more memories in the future!

We're planning of doing it since we already own a Polaroid camera and would enjoy having the album. Another popular option is the "digital guestbook". Essentially, you have a sign with a hashtag or link to where people can post selfies, and have it placed on a table next to a couple of selfie sticks (photo booth props are also sometimes included here).

I love it- but our wedding is too big (my FH is a popular guy apparently). We are doing 2 wood serving tray for people to sign the bottom and going to seal it so we can keep it on our ottoman since we don’t have a coffee table.
