Polaroid guestbook?

Nessa, on March 23, 2017 at 10:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

I'm on having having two Fujifilm Polaroid cameras and plenty (like 4X my guest count) of film.

Then, I'm thinking of having an album/scrap book for guest to put their picture in and write a note on the side. It would be easy placement, like those little glue dots?

Has anyone done this or something similar? Is there anything I'm overlooking? What could go wrong? Something that sounds nice in theory but not in practice? Trying to think ahead.

We'll have 50-75 guests, absolutely no more than that.

I would hire one person to take the pics and one to put a pic in the album. Reasons :

    Film is not wasted

Each person gets one or two pics taken of themselves, not 50!

One of those 2 pics will end up in the album

I have seen guests be given the duty of taking the pics and being asked to put one in the guest book. What ends up happening is the same group takes a variety of images and people keep the pics.

    That's definitely a thought!

I'll ask my venue if they have anyone we can pay extra for. They provide a planner, host, and most of our vendors (floral, food, etc.) so maybe they have someone.

We're planning on doing something similar! We will be asking a cousin to help guests take their selfies. Also, we were worried guests would take too much time or be sloppy putting photos into the album, so we will have some type of hanging display where the guests just replace a card with their name on it with the photo.

Yes! I actually did this at my wedding in December. I used the Polaroid Snap Touch, though! I got two of the Snap cameras set up by the entrance of our reception for our guests to take pics of themselves, edit their pics from the camera itself (it has an LCD screen!!), instantly print AND stick their photos on our guest book!!! The Zink paper is a sticker, so that was convenient. Plus, we found the Zink sheets are cheaper than the films used for the Fuji cameras when we were comparing prices. Oh and everything is saved in the SD cards, so we have digital copies of all the pics too!
