Polaroid cameras for guest book? Thoughts

Ashlyn, on March 3, 2018 at 1:59 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
I’ve seen some people do a Polaroid camera and the guest take a picture and place it in the guest book. What are your thoughts on this?
If you did this how expensive was it?
Did you like the way it turned out?

I'm planning on doing it. The film and props are probably the biggest expense. Especially if you want photos to keep and for your guests.

We're planning on this. My MiL bought a Polaroid mini and a bunch of film packs. I really love the idea of photo and personal note in one.

I'm going this!!!! I already have a instax mini and I just ordered the wedding album from Etsy. That was actually pretty expensive but its handmade and perfect. Its in the mail now lol Im delegating one of my cousins to take photos bc remember people will take pics as couples. You should do it bc youll wanna look at pictures for years, not names

I really think you need multiple cameras to avoid the bottleneck issue. You'll also need clear instructions since it's not really a normal thing....

Sound like a great idea. Never seen it done. Might need to have instruction for it won't cause problem.

I don't know how expensive but I have been to my cousin's wedding who did that and it was a lot of fun for us the guests and I am sure a great keepsake for the couple.

It was my original plan but I changed it for a couple of reasons. The price of the film was a little more then what I wanted to spend for a guest book. And also we have a bit of an older crowd so I wasn’t sure if everyone wanted to take their pics. And I didn’t want a long line of people waiting to do it.
Personally if you’re going to do it make sure you have more then one camera and someone to help.

So, my step mom did this at her wedding. her & my dad said it was a waste of money because guests took random pictures of the ground, blurry, etc.
