A Groomsman

A groomsman is a special pal

Who stays by his friend's side.

They wait together nervously

To meet a happy bride.

He does all things he's asked to do,

A friend in many ways.

Because he's there he helps to make

This one the best of days.

He also builds fond memories

That last forevermore,

For being part of special times

Is what good friends are for.

Our Best Man

A best man is a special friend,

As such a name implies.

In charge of parties, rings, and toasts,

He is the best of guys.

He also helps a nervous groom

And gets him there on time.

He calms his nerves and has him there

Before a bell can chime.

He gives advice and lends an ear;

He does all this and more.

He’s always by his best friend’s side.

That’s what a pal is for!

There was never any doubt

Who my groomsmen would be.

Memories of the good times we've shared

and your friendship

mean a great deal to me.

I am asking for your support

on one of the happiest days of my life.

I‘ll be grateful if you will be there as

So on our day we want you near

To make us do shots and drink lots of beer

Help plan the bachelor party if you can

and be one of our groomsmen!

I’d be a groom

I just never knew who

would fill the room

The time is now here

and I must decide

Who I want to stand

When I take my bride

It would be a great honor

If you would agree

To stand at the altar

And be a groomsman for me!
