In my opinion, Spanx is the best. I believe most of their garments go up to a 3X. I am a size 10-12 (wedding gown size 14) and I can wear either a L or an XL depending on the style. It won't make you smaller, but it will smooth you out.

The very firm shape wear tends to be uncomfortable (also in my opinion only) so I wound up buying a wedding gown that was more forgiving (I went with an a-line as opposed to a tighter fitting shape) because I refuse to be uncomfortable on my wedding day.

Here too. I was hoping to find something both useful and pretty in case I decided to get up the nerve to allow my photographer to take a few getting dressed photos.

I got shapewear for myself and I love it!

My seamstress suggested Yummie Tummie brand. They go up to size 3x and they come in different compression levels. I just got mine last week and I love it! It's the most comfortable shape wear I've ever worn. I honestly forgot I was wearing it for the most part. It didn't roll or bunch and is very soft
