Plus size bridesmaids gowns?

Hi all,

I am going to go shopping with my matron of honor for her dress, but she was having trouble finding plus size dresses in Maryland. Anyone who lives here…do you have recommendations of where we can go? We’ll try David’s Bridal, but when she got married, I didn’t have the best luck finding a bridesmaid’s dress…(and got zero help from the staff).
Her dress doesn’t have to be from a bridal store either, just want a color that goes with/compliments David’s Bridal ‘marine blue’.
She’s not coming down to shop until closer to New Year’s, but asked me if I knew of anywhere.

I suggest Azazie (online). They have a huge selection of plus sizes and can be custom ordered.

I third Azazie! Not only do they offer plus size but they also offer custom size at no extra cost. And they have a try at home option so she can try on a couple of options before deciding. Their dresses are good quality and not too expensive.

Another vote for Azazie!
I have a plus size bridesmaid (who might be pregnant by the wedding, EEEEEEEE 😍) so I've been focusing on picking a site that specifically has a good selection of plus size maternity (and plus size in general) and Azazie is my top pick! I just got the swatches in and their perfect! You can order swatches of their blues that look close to the David's Marine Blue and see what color matches best before she orders one, and as Sharon mentioned they have try at home and custom sizing available!
Birdy Grey and Revelry also have beautiful plus size gowns, but a smaller selection of gowns overall than Azazie does.

Azazie does seem to be getting the most votes....and it does seem like a great store. The only problem is, my best friend lives in New Jersey and I live in Maryland. She's going to come to Maryland at Christmas and we were going to go looking for dresses then. Also, instead of Marine Blue (which mama is wearing.....she made a good point and doesn't want my matron of honor matching her) we're looking at red maybe? (4th of July weekend). I have already requested color samples, I'll talk to her to see if she wants to try Azazie. She could order dresses and have them sent to my place, then we'll figure out how to get back the not-so-flattering ones that are being returned.

Every dress designer has plus sizes. Reputable online stores are Azazie, Cocomelody and Revelry that all have try on at home programs.

Thank you, Michelle! I clearly have not in enough weddings to know the ins and outs of bridal apparel! I guess I’ll have her start with a color and style she likes, then go from there!

Is your visiting her and shopping together in NJ an option? Depending on where she is, she might be reasonably close to a shop that offers plus-sized gowns and hasn't found them because the focus is on visiting you in MD. Check out Laura and Leigh in Cherry Hill.

I had 7 bridesmaids of different body types including a couple of pregnant bridesmaids, so I chose a dressmaker on Etsy who does dresses with all custom measurements if needed. The dresses were reasonably priced and fit great.
