Plus Size Brides! Dress shopping experiences

I hated David's Bridal. I went there and I was so discouraged because even though they claimed to have my size in stock, they only had one out of the 6 dresses I tried on in my size. All of the others they had were 1-2 sizes smaller than my size and it was hard to picture what it would look like on my when it actually fit. They would keep making excuses on the things that I didn't like about the dress by saying it wasn't my size and kept trying to push me to just order it in my size. I went to another shop that I LOVED. I would advise on going to a smaller shop where you make an appointment. We were the only ones in the store and I felt SO comfortable. I'm not used to trying on things in front of other people, but managed to get a dress that I loved and with a little help from the store owner. She added sleeves because I'm uncomfortable with my arms and she can accommodate you like a bigger shop can't.
