Plus Size Bridal Undergarments

Angie, on April 3, 2018 at 4:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
I'm a plus size bride who is trying to determine what to wear under my dress. I'm going to have cups sewn in and do not want to wear Spanx or any constricting garments, but I don't know what you do about the wonderful thigh chafing I know will happen. Any ideas on garments that aren't constricting but help prevent chafing?

Omg, never heard of these but I definitely need them this summer. Wearing dresses without shorts underneath is killer for me.

Bandelletes. I got them and work wonderfully and not expensive.

You can buy a product called Body Glide. It looks like deodorant and goes on similarly (it is clear). You apply it to anywhere you might have chafing. Long distance runners use it for this purpose and when I used to run long distance that's when I discovered it. Alternatively, baby powder works well, as well as perfumed body powder such as Beautiful by Estee Lauder if you want a scent that is not baby powder.

You could also try the Monistat chafing relief powder gel. That's my go to to prevent the dreaded chafe!

Not going to lie, I am considering wearing compression shorts under my dress. I am the person who always wears shorts under dresses so I am thinking why should my wedding be any different

I'm trying to figure this out as well. I guess for me it'll all depend on if I lose the 30 pounds before our wedding on 10/20. Will definitely go without a bra and may have cups sewn in if needed but if I could go without spanx that would make things even more marvelous!

If you're not wanting to wear spanx, there's a product called Surf Butta, its water and sweat resistant. Its only about $15 on amazon and it works like a dream. Trust me.
