Plus Size Bachelorette Dresses?

Elyse, on July 21, 2015 at 4:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 29

Where are you getting yours? Anyone wanna share pics? All of my usual places are coming up short. Rent the Runway, Torrid, Macy's, Lane Bryant, ModCloth. I was hoping for something white with a little bling, or maybe gold or blush. Everything I find is so blah - nice for a shower or RD, but lame for a bachelorette. I was hoping to only spend about $50 but willing to go up to about $100.

Here's a pic of what I really wanted, but it's forever rented out on RTR.

I usually check Torrid but I was just there this weekend and they seemed to fall short on something like this. Following because I need some Bachelorette inspiration too!

I wore ModCloth's Starlet's Web Dress in Peach for my bachelorette. I immediately thought "bachelorette" when I saw it; and got tons of compliments. Good luck with your search!

KellySD, I have such a love/hate relationship with Torrid. I have so much stuff from there, but it's so damn expensive.

Amie, that is a cute dress!

I love dresses from City Chic. I don't remember any sequin dresses lately, but they get new stuff all the time.

Omg this has been the story of my life the past few months trying to find a dress for the bachelorette... I JUST ordered this one from modcloth... it's on sale for 104- and if you sign up with a new email you get 20 bucks off... so it was only 84. Going to wear it for bachelorette and for my after wedding party.

I had been looking at torrid, lane bryant, dress barn, dept stores... OH! check out Asos- they have great stuff too.

How have I never heard of City Chic? They have some good stuff! Thanks, Megan!

Jenn, I love the illusion neckline on that! That's a great choice! I'm probably overshopped and skipping over/filtering out options, so I'm missing good stuff.

I'm looking for something too Elyse, and I keep coming up empty. I don't want to spend a ton, but I want to look nice and be able to have fun and feel sexy in my dress. We'll see what we find!

That's what i would have hoped for FutureMrs.B ! But they decided they'd all wear black and I needed to wear something different.

Atleast that was easier to find than an 80's outfit- two nights- two themes?! Plus size 80's wear is a little hard to come by. They are all skinny minnies who can fit into everything forever 21 so they're all set.. but i'm having some trouble!

I kinda wish we all did matching tees, and jeans or whatever, but I didn't want to request it and felt bad that they would have to put out more money.

Was hoping for some bling too but I ending up with a white lacy dress at Forever 21+. Wearing big crystal studs & necklace to add some pizzazz.

I'd honestly try Dress Barn. I thought it was like for "older women" attire but I've gotten really cute stuff there plenty of times.

To me, the Forever 21 plus sized stuff ends up being ugly, but it could have gotten better the past few years since I've felt worthy to step foot in there.

I got a really cute dress from forever 21 for my shower and I bought one from Macy's for my bachelorette but I'm having second thoughts about the bachelorette dress. I've been searching all over for another one with no luck so far...

Ok I will have to try Forever 21 and dress barn. I definitely like Forever 21's prices better even if I do feel a little old going in there haha.

I haven't been very excited about my bachelorette because I feel like it's going to be a dud. Of my 5 girls, I just found out 1 is pregnant, I know 1 is still nursing, and I'm pretty sure MOH is pregnant too. Of course I'm happy for them, but I feel like it's going to be pretty weird with the majority of my girls at a club not being able to drink.
