Plus One for Guests

Is it okay if we don't allow plus ones? Couples will be invited together, but anyone who isn't in a relationship won't get a plus one unless they're in the wedding party. I really don't want 20 people we don't know at our wedding because we gave everyone a plus one.

    This is fine, but I would budget right now as if everyone got a plus one. Since your wedding is still over a year away, some of those people could end up in relationships before your invitations get sent out.

    ^^Came here to say this. In the 2.5 years FH and I have been engaged, plenty of our guests who were single have gotten into serious relationships or we just weren't aware they were seeing anyone.

    Yeah we are but I wanted to make sure it was okay to not extend a plus one to everyone.

    Yes. We took it a step further and gave a select few people plus ones— anyone who would be traveling alone and didn’t know our other guests well. But the singles in our friends group or family group didn’t get them because they had plenty of friends/family around to hang with.
