Please tell me I'm not the only one

Kaysey, on January 21, 2020 at 10:17 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

Please tell me I'm not the only one worrying about fitting in my dress the day of the wedding. We're 39 days out now and I've tried my dress on multiple times recently (because I was getting my dress bustled), and it still fits perfectly. I have lost some weight since purchasing it but it's not big, it just fits better than it did when I bought it. It still looks amazing but in my back of my head my biggest fear is going to put it on on my wedding day and it being too small. The lady who bustled my dress told me if I lost any more weight she'd have to take it in, lol, so I know it will fit, but I just have that fear in the back of my head. I just want to make sure I'm not the only one feeling this way, lol.

I'm also 39 days out and this is my fear! My next and final alteration appointment is February 14th! I have been slacking on my workout routine and need to get back to it! I have gained about 5 pounds and hope to get that back off before the 14th.

I'm sure you will! I'm just trying to make sure I don't stress out too much about it b/c stress is how I lost weight originally, lol. I was finishing up my degree while planning the wedding and working 60+ hours a week.

I'm driving my FSIL nuts because she is the one that is in charge of buttoning up the insane amount of buttons on the back of my dress and every time I try my dress on she has to button them, lol. She told me that we can try it on the week of Valentine's Day (b/c my FH will be out of town for work), and then the Monday before the wedding but she won't do any more than that, lmao.

I had my dress taken in an inch or two, so this is why I'm stressing lol. Are you done with your degree? I'm sure that has helped with your stress levels.

I bet your FSIL feels like my sister lol! I tried my dress on just about every month. She's so happy it's at alterations and I cannot bother her. I bet your dress is gorgeous, I love gowns with all those buttons!

I think I try on my dress weekly because I’m afraid of this! I don’t know what I think will happen in a week.

I literally just bought my dress and I'm already worried about it fitting. It really don't want to have to take the waist in at all. I lost weight during a 7-day mountain expedition and am worried that I'll gain it back and the dress wont fit when it arrives in April! Thankfully my Fiance suggested we run a half marathon this year, so I have something to train for...which makes me worried that I'll lose weight!

I did! I finished my degree in October and I'm stress free from that now. The only stress is coming from worrying about not fitting in the dress Smiley xd

That's how I was! My FSIL has limited me to 2 more try-ons before the wedding because she's hte one in charge of buttoning up the dress, lol. The week of Valentine's Day b/c my FH is out of town for work, and Monday the week of the wedding. Every time I say something about it my FSIL tells me Vera (the woman who bustled my dress), said if I loose anymore weight she's going to have to take it in and that I need to calm down.

I bought my dress in May and it came in early June. I tried it on again in October. It still fit, it was a little snug and took a little longer to get it zipped and buttoned, but it fit. That's when I started stressing about it. I made my appointment to get my dress bustled two weeks before Christmas for January 5th, still stressing about when I tried it on in October, so I tried it on again, lol. It did fit comfortably that time. When I went in for my appointment my dress zipped and buttoned easier than it ever had and was actually a little big on me. I have no clue why I keep stressing about it, but I do lol.
